That’s right! We are a charitable organization that focuses on empowering local leaders rather than sending international volunteers. Our mission is to train and equip individuals within their own communities to take on the work they are passionate about.
We Collaborate with Local Communities
Our programs are designed by the people they aim to serve. All of our initiatives are led by local leaders who understand the unique needs of their communities.
While there are countless individuals who are in need of support, those who are already involved are eager to contribute to the betterment of their communities. They are enthusiastic about making a difference and are excited to learn how they can maximize their impact. This is where we step in: Our role is to provide training, resources, and accountability to help these community leaders achieve their goals.
We Track and Measure Impact
Measuring impact is a core value of our organization. We are committed to evaluating not just the activities we undertake but also the outcomes of our programs. Our local partners regularly visit each project to monitor progress and report back to the supporters who make the work possible. This commitment to measurement ensures that we are always focused on achieving meaningful results.
Educational Programs
A significant percentage of our adult education classes lead to the establishment of local community centers.
Youth Empowerment Programs
Many of our year-long youth initiatives transition into ongoing community-led projects.
Community Development Goals
Each community leader we train aims to launch at least two new projects during their year of development.
Literacy Outcomes
Literacy OutcomesA large portion of participants in our adult literacy programs graduate with the equivalent of a 5th-grade education.
Youth Engagement
On average, over one-third of the children who participate in our year-long youth programs continue to engage in community activities.
